In September of 2015 I purchased a 1972 BMW R75/5 SWB model with a toaster tank. Unfortunately I have very little history covering the bike.

I purchased it off of craigslist from a gentleman in the Seattle area. He had purchase it off of eBay from a seller in Virginia in 2007.
The owner in Virginia had begun a restoration/refurbishment/customizing of the bike prior to it's sale.

The frame had been powder coated a dark gun metal gray. The original saddle was replaced with a Corbin gunfighter model. A Dyna III ignition was installed. The original shocks were replaced with a set of Hagon shocks. The mileage at the time of my purchase was ~21,000.

I have one work order dated 21 March 2006 detailing some of the work done on the bike. The work order, in part, was hand written and signed by a tech named Richie Gri???? - I cannot identify the remainder of the name.

If this bike sounds familiar to any of you and you know any of the specifics of it's history I would be very grateful for anything you might be able to share with me.

Thank you,
Clayton

Did the tech work at a shop

Did the tech work at a shop of some kind? Can you tell that from the work order?

There is no mention of a shop

There is no mention of a shop name. The portion of the work order that is "typed" is very detailed in content even including an itemized parts list of items needed.

At the top of the work order is a name; Peter Zazanis (PBC Auto) in Oakton, Virginia.

I don't know if this is a service shop or possibly the owner for whom the work was performed.

Attempts to contact this individual have failed.

Thanks for the question!
