I'm looking for two things for this bike.

1.The windshield is a low "cafe racer" look with a wraparound faring screwed to a low grey windshield.
Can that windshield be removed and a tall clear one installed?
Anyone know a source for this--or a workaround like just screwing
on a piece of clear plexiglass?

2. I would like a small metal luggage rack on the rear. I've bought a zipper bag--->

and brace it with 1/8" plywood plastic-tied together--then tie it to the rack.

There seem to be a lot of metal racks on ebay but none that are new and guaranteed to fit the R60/7.
Anyone know a source for this item?
Phil

For a screen, try Gustafasson

For a screen, try Gustafasson at http://bikescreen.com/index.html ...they have quite a variety of screens.

As for a rack, I have a Butler and Smith carrier on my /7...should fit any /7:

Also, Reynolds made lots of styles...some will fit the /7:

Is the back seat on your bike already full, like a pillion? I would prefer to have it there than way back on the rack. Any serious weight aft of the rear axle is a de-stabilizing effect on the bike's suspension.

OEM or 2nd-Hand

"Guaranteed to fit" will be an issue unless you go OEM. Aftermarket accessory support for a 40yr old motorcycle is problematic. But the 2nd-hand bits from some sellers on the IBMWR website and elsewhere can be quite serviceable, though some may need elbow grease to be pretty.

R60/7 rack

I found a luggage rack. Khanh at EUBMW only 6 miles from my house had an original BMW one for $120 which attached with one stern pin and two r & l frame bolts. It didn't disturb the sissy bar or the seat opening. I'll send a pic when I get it all done.
