Hi to all. Can anyone confirm that the two throttle cables go through the round hole that's fabricated in instrument bracket holder as per picture. This is supposedly how they came out of the factory ?. How is your cables set up ?. Does any one have any pictures of where the cables should be routed along the frame etc.

Thanks

Hi Randy. Thanks for taking the pictures for me and posting them. Looks like there are a lot of ways to fit them. The only reason why i'm asking is when i was looking over some pictures stored on my PC i noticed how the throttle cables where routed. The owner of the bike that the picture belongs to use to work for Tom Byrne motorcycles back in the days (BMW agent), he bought the bike new (well that's how i remember the story), so would think it would be correct in every way.Hoping that the owner of the bike is reading this and notices that the picture is of his bike, if so please PM me.

Cable route

The throttle cables never went through the hole in the speedo mount, no cables did. The throttle cables ran past the speedo mount down and through the gusset on the left side of the steering head, under the tank and split off to either carburetor. Folks always tried to put the cables through the under tank rubber mount but they never ran through that either. It's a pretty simple routing.
