Hi,
I'm based in the UK and am looking at this R71 on ebay from eastern Europe
These are lots of photos on the listing
Is it possible from them that somebody could give an opinion as to whether it is genuine

ebay reference is 252059032578

It's listed twice, by the same seller:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252059032578 - ends in 2 days, has 27 bids, and is up to £3,030.00, reserve not met.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252063845227 - same bike, ends in 6 days, has 0 bids, and a Buy It Now price of £4,000.00

"PROFESSIONALLY RESTORED" and "70% original" R71 for only £4,000 ($6500)? Sign me up!

No good picture of the engine stampings nor frame stampings. No pictures of the right side of the motor or transmission. The final drive is certainly not BMW. I have doubts about the transmission casting (look at the casting's shape in the front of the air intake hole). And I have doubts about the engine casting, too -- maybe it's just the boogered up casting around the oil pump gear cover.
