Was yesterday and Friday. Surprised I didn't see anything about this event posted here as it is the essence of Vintage motorcycling.
I rode up with 3 other friends riding: Honda VTX 1800cc/BMW r1200rt/VStar 900. And of course my r60/2. Up the beautiful Taconic Parkway at a fast clip and via country roads about 100 miles to get there. To many photos to post so just the essentials of other almost over restored Beemers, Nimbus, Singer and an amazing Zundapp sidecar rig. All incredibly beautiful. There was a stunt show with a guy crashing (on purpose) through a wall of fire and doing a giant ramp jump too. Visited a friend who just lives in town and just bought a 2013 Ural rig, last of the carb models and as far s I'm concerned one of the best. Then we meandered down state and stopped at a few scenic locations for cigars and drink. All-in-all a wonderful riding day of 225 miles with the little r60 keeping up with the big boys all the way pushing that 1969 technology into the current millennium. I'm sure she was glad to get back to the shelter of her garage for a rest.

A few more pic's of the Rhinebeck Ride

Another beautiful bike, stunt show at the Fair, up on Perkins Drive (Bear Mountain), Kipp and his new (2013) Ural, me and the hardest working bike in the group. I don't ride everyday but I am using her as real motorcycle to get-up-and-go since she is the only 2-wheeler I have. Are others doing the same?
