I am looking to try my hand at restoration and found this bike. Can anyone give me an idea of the Year and Model. The person selling it only knows it is a BMW but does not seem to know any more about it and I can not seen to find a good match online.

I was thinking it was a 1930's R16 or something like that.

Sorry about the picture it is the one the person selling is sent me.

Thanks for the help.

WOW...

...that's a Zundapp, a K500 I believe...that's a very fine motorcycle for the connoisseur of german boxer twins, but maybe not a particularly easy restoration. Where is the front end?...

I think the K500 was a sidevalve. That is an OHV which would make it a KS600. A great bike in any case.

Actually...

...I think that's a KS500. I may be a KSS500 in which case it's unobtainium. FWIW, Zundapps are probably better motorcycles than BMW, but not nearly as attractive to look at?...Smile
