Just how do I take care of this tendency? Seems the wheels are fixed, no way to adjust like a chain bike. Is my frame a little off maybe?

Put the bike on the centerstand with handlebars pointed straight ahead. Get down behind the rear of the bike and sight along the rear tire...see how it mates up or tracks with the front tire.

The swingarm may need adjustment left or right. It's supposed to be secured midway between the frame. There's a special procedure to install the swingarm pins to load the bearings just the right amount before the locknuts are installed.

It's probably a long shot, but you should do a quick check of your steering head bearings - things can feel very strange if they're worn.

steering head feels fine. I'm reading up on Duane Ausherman's site right now for some pointers on the rear swing arm maintenance.

Here is a thought

Does the bike pull to the right just when your hands are off the bars? If this is so maybe just maybe your foot pegs are at different heights.
This happened to me as my bike pulled to the left but on further observation I noticed that when I put more weight on the left peg the bike came around and tracked straight. This is all with my hands off the bars. So before the adjustments I had the left peg higher and my weight was more on that peg. I know this is an older post but what the heck. Mark
