Sacha's picture

Hi If anyone has any idea of what cylinders I need for my R67/3.
I have purchased some r67/3 Cylinders a wile ago and when I recieved them I realised my they are not what I have on the bike.
it looks like my r67 has 600cc short stroke Cylinders.
Any help will be great.

Just bought a 51 R-67 with 20232 miles on it. Recent amateur resto ( new paint, pin striping, tires, wiring harness, stainless spokes).Engine ran fine so nothing done. Did I overpay at $15000.00?

'51 R-67 'resting' in our barn for the past 15+ years

guest's picture

I've been toying with the idea of selling my '51 R-67 for a couple of years, and the mechanic who got my '69 Mini delivery van running so it could become my daily driver found this site and encouraged me to sign up and list it.
https://picasaweb.google.com/EE.Web.Album/1951BMWR67?authuser=0&authkey=... is a link to a collection of photos taken last year. I've got a recent video somewhere of the bike being ridden up and down the mechanic's driveway, before he put it back into storage for me.
The owner prior to me replaced the front fork with one from a Honda, but the original [shown in the photos] is part of the collection of parts that will go along with the bike.
Currently in storage in Massachusetts, outside of Boston. Since we travel to southern Arizona every fall, the bike could be brought west with us to anyone in the Midwest or west who was interested but not in a great hurry to get their hands on it.

Offered: '51 R-67 resting in our barn for the last 20+ years

The registration plate (MA) on the back indicates how long it's been since this R-67 has been on the road, but it has been started and run within the past year.

In the years since last ridden regularly, it's been stored in our barn--until recently when it went to live with the mechanic who got my '69 Mini delivery van running reliably again; he is attending to a couple of essential things--replacing the throttle cables being one of them--but nothing more... not even removing the accumulated dust.
