The tenth edition of the Old Bike Ride, conceived and still directed by Bob Ohman, is being sponsored by Norton Colorado. The purpose of the Old Bike Ride is to encourage people to bring out their old motorcycles and ride them. The approximately 125-mile route takes us over some of the finest motorcycling roads of the Front Range. It is open to anyone riding a motorcycle made in 1980 or earlier. However, a rider over the age of 75 (up from 65 last year) can ride whatever they wish.

The motorcycle must be model year 1980 or earlier, unless the rider is 75 years old for more. Another change from previous years: the special decals commemorating this event will not be issued until the lunch stop. There are only 100 decals. First come, first served.

The ride will start from a new location in downtown Golden: the large parking lot behind the old Foss Drugstore, one block west of Washington Ave on 13th Street. Maps will be distributed to qualifying riders starting at 8:00 AM. Rider's Meeting at 9:15. The ride will start at 9:30 promptly.

The next Concorso di Motociclette will provide a very special event for all those people who are passionate about motorcycles. Once again, the centrepiece will again be the display presenting the motorcycles entered for the Concorso di Motociclette. Private owners and collectors are invited to submit motorcycles for selection. These will not simply be shown in a static display. 2012 will see a demonstration street run where participants will open the event.

Special themed exhibitions and the forum for motorcycle design will present models and prototypes from renowned designers and manufacturers in 2012. These displays will enable visitors to view the past and future of the motorcycle alongside. They will facilitate comparisons and discussions, as well as providing an arena where representatives from industry can meet the enthusiasts. The various players like designers and collectors have one common interest - the motorcycle. This machine unites them and gives “food for talk” and thought, especially in the wonderful setting on the shores of Lake Como.

Information along with the program can be found at http://www.concorsodeleganzavilladeste.com/en/2012-motorcycle-concours-i...
